Convert Dryer To Side Vent

The new duct clearly needed to go straight towards the back but then make a 90 degree turn to the left and go out the side instead.

This is an accessory that can be used across several dryer brands with lint screens in the front. That was the only possible way it could go from the blower to the knockout hole in the side. I didn t need all the parts in this kit but they supply everything you should need including covers to plug up the hole in the back if you change the exit from the back to the side like i did. The existing duct went from the blower straight out the back of the dryer.

They say there is a kit but i haven t been able to find the diagrams or anything and just wondered if anyone had done something like this before and how difficult it might be. There are two places on the bottom sides of the dryer where it looks like you can punch out a large hole for the dryer to vent. However there is no information in any of the manuals or even from samsung directly i called them today to tell me how to change the vent from the rear to the side. Check to see if your model number is compatible.
