When determining how many strips you want to connect together remember that with wire resistance increases with distance. Two or more one color led strips to the power supply more led strips can be attached if the power supply and the transformer is powerful enough to support it depending on output wattage. This is important when you re connecting multiple led strips to a single power source. To connect your led strip lights you can either use a connector for easy attachment or you can solder the wires to the strip which carries more current and creates a more stable connection. The main disadvantage of this approach is that it will require a bit more wiring work.

The main challenge is that most power supply units will only have one of each positive and negative output wires so to connect that to more than one led strip section will require you to split that output into multiple wires. In this video you will see how to hook up multiple leds to a single powe. These led strips usually come in a 12 volt size so they require a constant 12vdc input. This is no different with led strips.

You want that power source to be able to handle all of the lumens requirements. Luckily a 12vdc input is a very low voltage. To connect the multiple strips a connector block is used which is known to split the power supply into many outputs. Lets take a look at this in the image to the right.
